Children

Oak View Baptist Church is committed to providing a safe and exciting environment for children. Our Children's Ministry offers programs, activities, and events that are designed to encourage elementary school aged children to build a strong spiritual foundation for their lives. We want each child to know God loves them, has a plan for their lives, and that He wants to know each of them through a personal relationship with Christ Jesus.

 

The cornerstone of our Children's Ministry is our Bible Fellowship groups.  Children are taught a love for God's Word through hands on Bible activities such as drama, games, music and writing alone with Bible stories.  These groups are led by trained adult volunteers who build caring relationships with the children as they provide an energetic atmosphere for learning.  Bible Fellowship meets every Sunday Morning @ 9:30 and is provided for children of all ages.

 

An exciting time of worship and activities with bible study is provided for children by caring adults during the worship servce hour.  Parents who wish for their children to be a part of this ministry allow their children to depart with the others during the worship service when children's church dimissal is announced.

 

Children learn bible praise and worship songs and have an opportunity to sing before the congregation on several occasions thourghout the year.  Kids in grades Kindergarten - 5th are invted.  Joyful Noise meets during the Sunday Evening Worship Service September - May.

 

Awana is our Wednesday night program and is for children from three years of age to fifth grade.  We executes this excellent grouth program from September to May.  Awana blends Bible teaching, Scripture memorization and tons of fun.  Awana begins @ 6:30.
